Spaces, ateliers and professional development

Services

I design educational contexts centred on relationships, inquiry and beauty.

From concept to lived space: I support schools and organisations in designing environments, ateliers and professional development that encourage curiosity, independence and thinking. I bring together pedagogy, art and design to create coherent settings — from light to materials, from documentation to communication — where children, teachers and educators can explore, make meaning and express themselves.

Designing educational spaces

Designing an educational environment means imagining a possible world: spaces that welcome, stimulate and engage with the people who inhabit them. Each project begins by listening to their needs, dreams, habits and rhythms. I work with light, proportions, materials and colours to create places that express care, supporting relationships, play, concentration and wellbeing.

Furniture becomes an ally, routes through spaces open and close like pages to read together, and materials become a language. Using scale models, floor plans and spatial prototypes, we test solutions together: from finishes and the arrangement of areas of interest to implementation with the team. Every designed space makes an educational statement. It tells children “you can be yourself here; things happen here”.

Ateliers and workshops

The atelier is more than a place: it is an attitude towards the world. It is a space where materials speak and hands think, where art, science and nature meet to spark wonder. In workshops, I support children, young people and adults in exploring different languages — colour, clay, paper, light, sound and digital media — as forms of thinking.

We explore processes rather than pursuing finished products: the value lies in gesture, experimentation and discovery. Together, we create arrangements and “material maps” that change over time, document what happens to make it visible and shareable, and give space to concluding narratives — videos, maps and objects — that bring meaning to the experience. The atelier becomes a time of pause and freedom, nurturing attention and care for materials and relationships.

Teacher professional development

Professional development is a workshop for adults: a place to learn again through hands, eyes and thinking. My programmes connect theory, experience and reflection to develop teaching that brings together beauty and intention. We work on observation, documentation, environmental design, aesthetics in education and expressive languages.

Each module invites a change of perspective, experimentation with new tools and renewed attention to questions for inquiry. We alternate hands-on workshops, collaborative planning and on-site mentoring, so that change reaches everyday practice and becomes part of the team’s shared culture.

Documentation and communication

Documenting is both an aesthetic and a pedagogical act: looking carefully, choosing what to show and valuing processes. Through photography, video, graphic design and visual storytelling, I support schools and educational teams in creating coherent, moving and truthful narrativesthat open conversations with families, communities and institutions.

The aim is to make meaning, rather than simply display results. I design exhibitions, publications and installations that make children’s and adults’ inquiry visible, bringing often-overlooked details and connections into view. Every image, word and arrangement becomes a trace that remains and continues to prompt thought.
