Listening to the context
Reading spaces and meeting people to recognise what makes each educational setting unique.
Davide Bello
My work grows from the meeting
of art, materials and education.

One journey, many languages
For over twenty years, I have worked with nurseries, preschools and primary schools, designing spaces, ateliers and professional development alongside teachers and educators.
Every educational setting has its own story, needs and way of inhabiting spaces. My work begins there: with observation, conversation and the identity of the people I meet.
My training in sculpture and my exploration of art, design and pedagogy shape how I see things. The culture of Reggio Children is one of my roots; over time, I have developed a personal language, open to dialogue with materials, nature and contemporary technologies.
How I work
Reading spaces and meeting people to recognise what makes each educational setting unique.
Observing how materials, light and nature respond, change and suggest new questions.
Using documentation to look again at what happens and discover new directions for our work.

A project to develop together
A space to rethink, a question to explore,
a learning journey to imagine together.
